This is a follow up to another post about Raid Battles. See that one here: http://summonerswar-forum.com/threads/raid-battle-guide-what-i-know.3594/

[Notes: USE CONTROL-F TO SEE THE MONSTER OVERLAP BETWEEN SKILLS]

This guide is meant for teams of 3 that wish to create a team with synergy. While it can be used to create an independent personal team, I would not recommend it.

    Step 1: Choose Leaders
    • Leader #1: SUSTAIN
      • PREFERABLE: DEF% -- Orion (Water Brownie Magician), Mei Hou Wang (Fire Monkey King), Triton (Wind Sea Emperor)
      • SECONDARY: HP% -- Verad (Water Dragon), Xing Zhe (Wind Monkey King)
    • Leader #2: ATTACKS
      • PREFERABLE: SPD -- Chiwu (Fire Pioneer), Jamire (Wind Dragon)
      • SECONDARY: ATK% -- Zaiross (Fire Dragon), Poseidon (Water Sea Emperor)
    • Leader #3: RESISTANCE
      • RESISTANCE -- Tesarion (Fire Ifrit), Praha (Water Oracle)

STEP 2: Choose Harmful Effect Remove / Immunity Monsters
Each teammate's personal team will need at least one harmful effect remove monster.
    • PREFERABLE (Team Remove): Velajuel (Fire Archangel), Lisa (Fire Neostone Agent), Fedora (Water Death Knight), Anavel (Water Occult Girl), Konamiya (Water Garuda), Rebecca (Fire Mystic Witch), Delphoi (Wind Undine), Tiana (Wind Polar Queen), Olivine (Wind Battle Mammoth)
    • SELF harmful effect remove or immunities (not a replacement for a harmful effect remover, just in addition): Mei Hou Wang (Fire Monkey King), Camilla (Water Valkyrja), Poseidon (Water Sea Emperor), Triton (Wind Sea Emperor)

    Step 3: Debuffers
You will need these debuffs up at all times: Glancing Hit, HP Disturb, SPD Break, ATK Break, Defense Break. This means that you will need at least one monster for all of these debuffs across your allies' monsters.
    • Glancing Hit
      • with First Skill: Shannon (Wind Pixie), Arang (Wind Nine Tailed Fox), Chasun (Wind Sky Dancer), Lisa (Fire Neostone Agent)
    • HP Disturb
      • with First Skill: Fedora (Water Death Knight), Arnold (Fire Death Knight), Briand (Wind Death Knight), Dias (Dark Death Knight)
      • with Second or Third Skill: Colleen (Fire Harpu), Orion (Water Brownie Magician)
    • ATK Break
      • with First Skill: Colleen (Fire Harpu)
      • with Second or Third Skill: Arnold (Fire Death Knight), Fedora (Water Death Knight), Briand (Wind Death Knight), Bernard (Wind Griffon), Arang (Wind Nine Tailed Fox), Jamire (Wind Dragon), Darion (Light Vagabond), Argen (Wind Vampire), Dias (Dark Death Knight)
    • Defense Break (not priority)
      • with First Skill: Belladeon (Light Inugami), Darion (Light Vagabond), Tiana (Wind Polar Queen)
      • with Second or Third Skill: Rebecca (Fire Mystic Witch), Mei Hou Wang (Fire Monkey King), Fedora (Water Death Knight), Anavel (Water Occult Girl), Bernard (Wind Griffon), Arang (Wind Nine Tailed Fox), Xing Zhe (Wind Monkey King), Orion (Water Brownie Magician), Tesarion (Fire Ifrit), Dias (Dark Death Knight)
    • SPD Break & ATK Bar Manipulation
      • Has BOTH: Spectra (Fire Griffon), Hwa (Fire Rakshasa), Sera (Water Cow Girl), Poseidon (Water Sea Emperor)
      • Has SPD Break
        • with First Skill: Delphoi (Wind Undine)
        • with Second or Third Skill: Camilla (Water Valkyrja), Shannon (Wind Pixie), Arang (Wind Nine Tailed Fox), Argen (Wind Vampire)
      • Has ATK Bar Manipulation: Orion (Water Brownie Magician), Bernard (Wind Griffon), Xing Zhe (Wind Monkey King), Tiana (Wind Polar Queen), Belladeon (Light Inugami), Triton (Wind Sea Emperor), Olivine (Wind Battle Mammoth), Verad (Water Dragon), Praha (Water Oracle), Velajuel (Fire Archangel)

Step 4: Choose Appropriate Buffers (Mainly Heal)
You will need plenty of heal for every team. This means that you will need at least one monster that heals on all three teams.
    • Heal: Colleen (Fire Harpu), Rebecca (Fire Mystic Witch), Anavel (Water Occult Girl), Konamiya (Water Garuda), Chasun (Wind Sky Dancer), Delphoi (Wind Undine), Belladeon (Light Inugami), Praha (Water Oracle)
Otherwise, these buffs are optional. Remember that the boss has skills that ignores beneficial effects and removes beneficial effects, so buffs will need to be refreshed frequently, and will not be as effective defensively.
    • ATK: Colleen (Fire Harpu), Shannon (Wind Pixie), Chasun (Wind Sky Dancer), Konamiya (Water Garuda)
    • DEF: Shannon (Wind Pixie)
    • SPD: Bernard (Wind Griffon)

Step 5: Frontline vs. Backline Ratio
Make sure you have at least 6 frontliners and an appropriate amount of attack versus buff/debuff in your backline. Monsters that do damage based on their tankiness will also be very helpful for the frontline to add more damage per turn to your battle.
    • Frontliners:
      • Damage scales with Defense: Velajuel (Fire Archangel), Verad (Water Dragon)
      • Regular Build High Defense: Xing Zhe (Wind Monkey King), Darion (Light Vagabond), Dias (Dark Death Knight)
      • Could be Built with High Defense: Camilla (Water Valkyrja), Mei Hou Wang (Fire Monkey King), Praha (Water Oracle), Poseidon (Water Sea Emperor), Jamire (Wind Dragon), Triton (Wind Sea Emperor), Olivine (Wind Battle Mammoth)
        • Monsters Based on HP (less likely to be defense focused): Arnold (Fire Death Knight), Fedora (Water Death Knight), Briand (Wind Death Knight)
        • Support Monsters (Not pure tanks, but could be runed for defense): Spectra (Fire Griffon), Orion (Water Brownie Magician), Bernard (Wind Griffon), Delphoi (Wind Undine), Belladeon (Light Inugami)
    • Attackers (other than defense monsters; not necessarily backliners):
      • Damage Based on Number of Harmful Effects: Tesarion (Fire Ifrit), Akhamamir (Wind Ifrit), Argen (Wind Vampire)
      • Damage Based on Enemy's MAX HP: Spectra (Fire Griffon), Jamire (Wind Dragon), Camilla (Water Valkyrja)
      • Damage Based on your MAX HP: Arnold (Fire Death Knight), Fedora (Water Death Knight), Anavel (Water Occult Girl), Akhamamir (Wind Ifrit), Darion (Light Vagabond), Dias (Dark Death Knight)
      • Regular Attackers: Mei Hou Wang (Fire Monkey King), Hwa (Fire Rakshasa), Sera (Water Cow Girl), Arang (Wind Nine Tailed Fox)
    • Buffers/Debuffers that fall into neither category (backliners): Colleen (Fire Harpu), Rebecca (Mystic Witch), Shannon (Wind Pixie), Tiana (Wind Polar Queen), Konamiya (Water Garuda)

    Notes:
    • Veromos, while he is a popular harmful effect remover, WILL NOT be fantastic for this dungeon, therefor I did not include him. Heres why:
      • Boss Stuns- and Veromos cannot remove stuns.
      • Veromos's harmful effect remove relies on his passive. When the boss puts oblivion on Veromos, it will not go off.
      • His 1st and 2nd skill are basically obsolete, since the boss is immune to dots and stuns.

Likely more updates to come :) Please comment below with suggestions or questions!

I didn't include her because her glancing hit debuff won't be activated enough to be effective against this boss.

Weird I kept debuff on boss entire time until he self cleanse every 25% hp. Maybe it is cause I'm only on lvl 3 raids.

The reason that I recommend the 1st skill glancing hit debuffers is for that 25% cleanse skill. Since you cannot manual, you cannot guarantee that when that skill goes off Aria would have her skill ready. Worse case scenario, she just used it and now its on a long cooldown.

    Just a question and correction.

In one of the skill for the boss... It says:
    Ruler of Chaos (passive)
The 3 heads of the boss will share the attack gauge at the start of the battle using its chaotic strength, Also, the boss will mitigate HP proportionate damage it receives by sharing a single HP among the 3 heads.

While I don't quite understand what it means, by the reasoning of "by sharing a single HP among the 3 heads", it does say mitigate HP proportionate damage it receives. So dealing proportional damage to its health.. does it work? [and obv skills that says deal based on enemy max hp still do damage, but is it changed to some sort of scaling to attack power instead is what i mean and therefore by extension, is it worth while to have people with this kind of skill]
    --------------------------------
The small correction to your above statements....
"Make sure you have at least 6 frontliners"
I'm going to assume you meant 3 frontliners

Skills that do damage proportionate to the enemies max HP still do the desired effect to my knowledge, I haven't heard anything to the contrary, but I will attempt to research and figure this out for you! What I took that statement to mean is that, the boss shares an HP bar, so you cannot kill one head with an HP proportionate skill (acting on the boss's entire HP) and only have the other 2 heads left. a.k.a, The proportionate damage is less severe to the boss as a whole because it won't lose its effectiveness (lose one head) when you damage it with an HP proportionate skill. Although I could be completely mislead!

I did actually mean 6 frontliners, but I meant 6 across your team of 3 as a whole - meaning at least 2 per person. Each individual player should have 2-4 frontliners on their team. I will add that clarification in my next update! This is meant to be a guide for team building for a team of 3, not an individual player. As I said in my other guide, you want to focus on a team of 3 that has good synergy rather than doing random battles.

You likely need more sustain. Make sure your entire frontline has high DEF. Bernard, Darion, and Bella can all be built with high DEF successfully.

I mostly use them for giants, so i dont have any def % runes on them, so if i switch some runes with def % i should perform better ?

Yes. This is because of the boss's Crush of Doom skill which says "The damage increases substantially as the target's Defense decreases." Meaning the higher your DEF, the less damage you will take. PLUS the damage reduction higher DEF gives you in the first place. And since your backline only takes a percentage of the damage that your frontline takes, the damage to your backline will be significantly reduced.
